The enchantresses of “Sex in The City &” have taught us: man must be dizzied, knocked out, numbed with earrings, if possible, whose size evoke the dimension of a 19th-century chandelier.

And yes, because this accessory, quietly abandoned in the 90s, came back strongly in fashion today and it is really rare to find a woman who does not enrich her ears with lively glitters.

There has been the time of imperceptible “points of light”, tiny little diamonds with an invisible frame looming from women lobes; then, there has been the advent of silver and all its most curious forms, such as gipsy earrings with semi-precious stones, typically in Oriental features; then, last but not least, came the macramé in a thousand colors, with the advantage of a light and soft plot.

It’s like this: to us, women, a pair of earrings is enough to totally change our style – long and colorful, to give us one more hint of summer; small and sober, for a business meeting; long and elegant, for a dinner for two.

Every occasion has its earrings: pendant or stud, clips or torchon, there are many variants to decline at our lobes.

A classic template, very fashionable among teenagers as well as among ladies, is the one, proposed for some years, from Tiffany, representing a delicate, shiny, silver heart, with the standard engravings of the brand.

Tiffany itself, however, has recently enriched his already wonderful collection of very special pendants, like those designed by polyhedral Elsa Peretti, in woven silk (a material, incredible to say, tough and long living – beautiful the ones colored in forest green, king color of autumn/winter), or those in yellow gold, reminiscent of tangles of branches, leaves and flowers, from the delicate hand of the designer Paloma Picasso, or those full, bright and sumptuous, conceived by the designer Jean Schlumberger, which has wisely combined yellow gold and diamonds, in a blaze of richness and brilliance that dazzle.

Art pieces, therefore, to be worn on our lobes, small fragments of eternity that illuminate our faces.

How not to nominate, then, the timeless button earrings of the maison Chanel, which, with the simplicity of their two “C” Interlocked, give sobriety and elegance to even the most classic outfit.

Even Chanel has renovated, creating fancy earrings, such as the little twig of white gold and diamonds that descend softly from the lobe.

It is, yes, high-quality jewelry, which, however, is able to give a modern twist to its products, making them appealing to young women.

And, for those who prefer more funky jewelry, the Stroili brand comes to rescue, with its numerous shops stores, created beautiful filigree earrings in silver, gold or fabric, resembling those romantically embroidered lace centerpieces of our grandmothers, donating the facial features a unique, delicate, and retro style.

Unbelievable but true, a pair of earrings can enliven a face after a night out clubbing, give brightness to pale complexion, refresh a too classic outfit.

Eclectic Rihanna taught that, after cutting the hair, with an asymmetrical lateral shave, and started to exhibit maxi size earrings, in a thousand colors, which, combines very well with her amber complexion and her set make-up.

Or the stunning Aishwarya Rai, Indian actress and model, recently loving mother as well, who wastes no opportunity to extol her Oriental features with elegant hairstyles and hair always carefully composed, combining a bright pair of earrings to her Miss Universe face.

The timeless Jennifer Lopez as well, singer, actress and producer, during her spectacular concerts, always wears big earrings, which exalt her honey-colored hair.

VIP or NIP (not important person), famous or ordinary women, it is really difficult to escape this fashion of adorned ears that peep by coats, which shines among the scarves, that dangle on the edges of turtleneck shirts.

Day or night, at work and in private life, in the 2013/2014 season, our earrings will be protagonists: discrete and bright with sunlight, showy and colored at sunset.

Keeping well in mind the only imperative of fashion: it is important to stand out, always and everywhere.
